Indian staff tastes Japanese RTD Sours

This time, the second round of sake tasting will be conducted. Last time, lemon sours were compared to each other, and the preferred flavors were those with a good balance between "subtle lemon flavor/taste" and "sweetness. In this second round, we will ask participants to try various flavored sakes and consider what tastes are preferred.

Summery

  • Top Three Products: The most popular products were Hyoketsu Pineapple, Horoyoi White Sour, and Horoyoi White Grape. The least accepted was Horoyoi Iced Tea Sour.
  • Favorable Factors: Sweetness and a good match of aroma and taste were the most favorable factors. Hyoketsu Pineapple was praised for its sweetness and lack of bitterness, while Horoyoi White Sour was noted for its unique, cake-like taste.
  • Avoided Factors: Bitterness was generally avoided, consistent with previous findings.
  • Alcohol Perception: Almost no alcohol taste was perceived in any of the drinks, making them feel more like juices.

In this report, we consider how Japanese Sour (Chu-hi) is accepted in India.
